Scott McLaughlin holds off Scott Dixon for the win at Milwaukee Mile. Will Power keeps the series championship race with the help of leader Alex Palou stalling on the pace lap. Power finishes 10th, Palou 19th, giving Palou a 525-492 edge heading into the finale.

Lap 233: Lead lap pits under caution
The leaders pit during a caution after a Sting Ray Robb. Scott McLaughlin maintained his lead, followed by Alexander Rossi, Scott Dixon, Colton Herta and Santino Ferrucci.
Will Power is up to ninth and back on the lead lap with Palou in 20th to tighten up the championship race.
Lap 222: Scott McLaughlin, Colton Herta battle for lead
Scott McLaughlin and Colton Herta are trading the lead in Milwaukee. McLaughlin currently holds the lead, followed by Herta, Alexander Rossi, Scott Dixon and Santino Ferrucci.

Lap 200: Colton Herta in lead, other contenders pitting
Herta holds the lead and won't need to pit again, followed by Scott McLaughlin and Alexander Rossi.
Will Power is 11th, Palou 21st but Power could lose his laps led points.
Lap 156: Palou leads Power by 31 points as they run
Will Power is in 12th with Palou 21st. Palou has a 523-492 lead in for the series championship in points as they run.
Alexander Rossi leads followed by Scott McLaughlin, Colton Herta, Santino Ferrucci and Rinus Veekay.
Lap 133: Will Power spins on restart
Championship contender Will Power spun on his own during a restart but kept it out of the wall and kept running. He fell to 11th, however.

Lap 127: Graham Rahal knocked out by Christian Rasmussen
Christian Rasmussen took out Graham Rahal, causing another caution and giving Alex Palou another car to pass.

Lap 118: Scott McLaughlin jumps Will Power out of pits
Scott McLaughlin jumped teammate Will Power coming out of the pits on Lap 118. Alexander Rossi and Scott Dixon are in first and second but with one less pit.
Palou passed Pato O'Ward to move into 22nd, moving ahead of the fourth-place Power by 16 points as they run.
And just as I type that, we have a caution on Lap 113 with Sting Ray spinning & stopping in Turn 2.
Palou is now up to 22nd likely with more spots to gain.

Lap 96: Alex Palou is in 23rd
Conor Daly returned ahead of Alex Palou but he's passed David Malukas and Pato O'Ward is out due to a gearbox issue.
Will Power holds the lead, followed by Scott McLaughlin, Alexander Rossi, Santino Ferrucci and Jack Harvey.
Lap 71: Alex Palou in 24th
Palou has passed Josef Newgarden, Marcus Armstrong and Nolan Siegel with Conor Daly and David Malukas also dealing with mechanical issues. Palou and Power will be tied for the series lead if Power wins Milwaukee and Palou finishes 20th, according to the USA Network broadcast.

Lap 44: Will Power holds provisional series lead
Will Power took the lead in Milwaukee giving him a 3-point lead on Palou for the IndyCar title at this moment.

Alex Palou is back on the track
Series leader Alex Palou is back on the track after stalling on the pace laps. He's 28 laps down. According to the USA Network broadcast, it was not due to the hybrid engine.
Pole winner Josef Newgarden wrecked
Ganassi Racing drivers Linus Lundqvist and Marcus Armstrong bumped into each other and collected pole sitter Josef Newgarden one lap prior to the re-start. Lundqvist was given a drive-through penalty for avoidable contact. Newgarden was seen and released by the medical staff according to the series.

IndyCar championship leader Alex Palou stalled on pace lap
Alex Palou entered Sunday's race with a 43-point lead on Will Power but stalled on the pace lap, dramatically changing the points race. If Palou can't get back on the track -- he's already 2 laps down -- and Power wins today's race, he goes to Nashville as the leader.
IndyCar returns to Wisconsin with a Hy-Vee Milwaukee Mile 250 doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday.
