Indiana athletes are making an impact at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Notre Dame's Lee Kiefer repeated as foil fencing gold medalist by defeating a U.S. teammate.
Several Indiana swimmers are included in the six-man group that earned silver in the 4x200 freestyle relay: Drew Kibler (Carmel), Blake Pieroni (Chesterton, IU), Chris Giuliano (Notre Dame).
Indianapolis native Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook won a silver medal in 3-meter synchronized springboard diving. It was the first medal by any Team USA athlete at the Paris Olympics.
Brownsburg's Chloe Dygert captured another Olympic medal when the cyclist took bronze in the individual time trial. Dygert also won a silver at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro games and a bronze in Toyko (both medals came in team pursuit).
Notre Dame's Chris Giuliani was part of Team USA's first gold medal, in the 4x100 freestyle relay. He has a busy schedule in Paris, with up to four more events.
