Why is there a media blackout for the Indy 500?
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has always had a media blackout in central Indiana in an effort to encourage locals to attend the race in-person.
Race fans have long since complained about the media blackout and are pleased with the decision.

Thank you for doing the right thing, but please address this in the future. You'll have aired it locally in 20/21/22 and now 24. Let local fans, many of whom have supported "this is may" all month in the city actually watch the damn thing.
