Hunter Hines dives into Mississippi State dugout for catch in NCAA regional
Hunter Hines wasn't letting the foul ball get away from him.
The junior infielder tracked the pop fly going towards the Mississippi State dugout. Hines leapt when he caught the foul ball and ended up falling headfirst into the dugout, and his teammates had to catch him before he landed on his head.
Hines ended the fifth inning with the catch when the Bulldogs held a 4-2 lead over No. 12 seed Virginia at Davenport Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Hines is the one who gave Mississippi State the lead in the third inning. Virginia had taken a 2-0 lead, and the Bulldogs had two outs on the board with two runners on in the third. David Mershon and Dakota Jordan both got on base to tee up the three-run homer.
Hines swung on the first pitch and crushed a ball to center field, giving Mississippi State a 3-2 lead. He's 2-for-3 on the night with three RBIs. It was Hines' 54th career home run, which moved him into a tie for fourth all-time in program history.
