The Seattle Seahawks have dealt with several nagging injuries throughout training camp and the preseason. The injury bug started with quarterback Geno Smith, moved on to linebacker Jerome Baker, and afflicted tight ends Noah Fant Pharaoh Brown. Apparently, the injury bug has bitten one of Seattle's top wide outs.

Tyler Lockett, entering into his 10th season, has been sidelined for a few weeks at practice with a leg issue. The Seahawks are exceptionally deep at wide receiver, and Lockett is one of the premiere veterans in this league/on this team, so him missing a few reps at practice isn't going to be all that detrimental. What matters most is if he will be able to suit up on Sunday.

Lockett recently spoke to the media and gave an update on where he believes he is at, healthwise. He mentioned he plans to play in the season opener against the Broncos. Additionally, he mentioned "it's a blessing, to me, to be be in year ten. The average (career), is, what 3.5 years? I'm almost three times that."

The Seahawks look to field perhaps one of the more explosive offenses in the league this season. It all starts with their talented trio of wide receivers, including Lockett, DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Last year, Lockett may not have eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving for the fifth straight season, but it was yet another quality one from the second best receiver in Seahawks history. Lockett hauled in 79 receptions for 894 yards and five touchdowns.

Having Lockett in the fold for Sunday will help make this Seattle offense far more potent, and one more excellent option for quarterback Geno Smith.
