Ja Morant left with a right hamstring injury, but the Memphis Grizzlies cruised to a 131-114 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night at FedExForum.

The Grizzlies (5-4) built a lead in the third quarter thanks to 11 points from Jay Huff. Even after Morant left the game following a hard fall on a missed alley-oop, Memphis continued to extend the lead and ultimately won with plenty of room to spare.

Los Angeles was without Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura, and it got very little from anyone not named LeBron James. The 39-year-old finished with 39 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Morant, Jaylen Wells and Jaren Jackson Jr. each had 20 points to lead the Grizzlies.

Memphis is back in action on Friday night at home against the Wizards.

Morant took a hard fall on an alley-oop attempt and went straight to the locker room after the Grizzlies called a timeout.

James leads everyone with 22 first-half points, and it's been a lively game so far. Ja Morant has 13 points and also got a technical foul for shoving James after a basket near the end of the half.

Edey is coming off a career-best game against the Brooklyn Nets, but he's already started fast at the first timeout. He has four points and has already grabbed six rebounds in the early going.

The Lakers will be down two starters with Davis and Hachimura both unavailable. On the other side, Luke Kennard is available for the first time this season.
