Recap: Grizzlies keep it close but fall to Pacers, snapping 3-game winning streak
The Grizzlies hung in there for the entire afternoon, but in the end they fell just short on the road against the Indiana Pacers.
Memphis had its three-game win streak snapped with the 116-110 loss, losing despite impressive performances from GG Jackson (18 points) and Vince Williams Jr. (20 points, eight rebounds), two players who have stood out during the recent stretch with Ja Morant and other key players sidelined with injuries.
It was close throughout most of the game, and the Grizzlies even came back from a double digit deficit in the fourth quarter to make it close down the stretch. But Memphis couldn’t come up with enough offense to sustain the comeback attempt, and the Pacers left Gainbridge Fieldhouse with the win.
The Grizzlies will be back in action on the back half of a back-to-back on Monday night agains the Sacramento Kings at FedExForum.

Grizzlies hoping to extend wining streak
Can the Memphis Grizzlies extend their winning streak?
The Grizzlies have gone on an unexpected three-game winning streak, buoyed by elite performances by Jaren Jackson Jr. and a makeshift supporting cast headlined by Vince Williams Jr. and Luke Kennard. Though Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart have all been out with injuries, Memphis has stayed afloat.
The Grizzlies beat Orlando on Friday night at FedExForum and now head to Indianapolis for a matinee matchup with the Pacers on Sunday. After that, it's straight back to Memphis for a Monday night game against the Kings.
The Pacers (26-20) have been impressive and recently acquired All-Star forward Pascal Siakam. But star guard Tyrese Haliburton has been out because of a hamstring injury and won't play Sunday. Kennard is out for the Grizzlies with left knee soreness.
Memphis (18-27) won the first meeting between these teams on Dec. 21 at FedExForum, when Morant scored 20 points in his first home game after returning from a 25-game suspension to start the season.
