New York Giants quarterback Drew Lock suffered a hip injury during Thursday's preseason-opening victory over the Detroit Lions, but it remains unclear how much time he'll miss.

Initially, the Giants downplayed Lock's injury, implying it was minor and insignificant. Multiple conflicting reports later suggested he could miss a couple of days or up to several weeks.

On Monday, before the team took the field for practice, head coach Brian Daboll once again suggested Lock would be out just a few days.

Daboll also said the team will neither work out nor sign a replacement quarterback, instead leaning on tight end Tyree Jackson as their emergency option.
