New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll revealed on Sunday morning that offensive tackle Evan Neal has been activated from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and will return to practice.

Neal opened training camp on PUP after having his spring participation scaled back. He had been recovering from an ankle fracture suffered in early November that required a January surgery.

Although the Giants initially insisted that Neal did not suffer a setback, something clearly went awry along the way. He has been limited rehab work in the fieldhouse and minimal running along the sideline.

Upon his return, Daboll said Neal would be brought along slowly and limited to individual drills on Sunday.
