Georgia football ticket prices rising for 2025 and per-seat contributions seeing changes
The cost to attend a Georgia football game — which held steady after back-to-back national championships — is going up for the 2025 season in ticket prices and, for some, per-seat contribution.
The contribution requirement for season ticket holders will increase again in the 2027 season.
Athletic director Josh Brooks detailed the changes to the UGA athletic board Friday at its fall meeting.
Tickets will rise to $80 per game, up from $75 for SEC games now and $55 for nonconference games.
For the 2025 season, Georgia's seven home games will cost $560.
Georgia football per-seat contributions going up, too
The move comes ahead of perhaps the most attractive home schedule in program history with Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss coming to Sanford Stadium.
Nearly half of season ticket holders will be required to increase their per-seat contribution with new minimum requirements ranging in general seating from as much as $710 in the lower sections to $250 for 600-level and some 300-level seating.
Club seating ranges from $7,500 for the new 1929 club (where a contribution of at least $1 million is needed) to $400.
Georgia employed Chicago-based Navigate starting in 2022 to analyze the Bulldog football fan base before making these changes.
Georgia says the median increase amount for those impacted is $270 with 25 percent increasing $130 or less. A quarter of season ticket accounts will increase by $130 or less with 16.9% seeing a decrease and 14.3% staying the same.
“It was important to me, President (Jere) Morehead and the staff, we wanted to maintain affordability," Brooks said. "It's a better stratification."
This will be the third price increase since 2005 after contribution changes in 2017 and tickets in 2018.
Even after the increase next year, Georgia says it will remain in the bottom third of the SEC in price for tickets and per-seat contributions combined.
Georgia is also adding a parking pass fee of $100 in 2025 and going to a tiered contribution requirement for Hartman Fund donors based on proximity to the stadium ranging from $5,000 (for 11 lots) to what’s expected to be $1,500 for newly added lots. The current contribution requirement is $2,500.
Details on the 2027 contribution increase will be announced in February.
Georgia planned to send personalized emails to season ticket holders late Friday afternoon listing their current contribution and what it will be for 2025.
Donors will need to meet their new per-seat minimum requirement by April 1, 2025 to renew their season tickets and parking.
Georgia’s 16,000 student season will remain at $10 per ticket.
Georgia season ticket demand has exceeded supply over the last five years and SEC schedules in a 16-team league will provide more variety of visiting teams for home games.
The school has at around 13,000 season ticket accounts and about 57,000 season tickets.
Georgia says there won’t be “re-seating,” as part of the changes coming in 2025.
