Georgia football injury report: Bulldogs defensive starter listed as out

(This story was updated to add new information.)

Georgia football's official availability report for Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. game against Auburn has been released by the SEC.

This is the third game week for Georgia under the conference’s new reporting policies.

The SEC releases daily reports Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and another 90 minutes before kickoff on game day.

Georgia has eight players listed on this week's report, including a surprise.

Starting inside linebacker Smael Mondon is listed as out due to undisclosed reasons. He was available to speak to reporters Monday, so it's an injury, it would appear to have happened early this week in practice.

Starting center Jared Wilson is listed as questionable. He was shaken up late in the game at Alabama but returned after missing one snap. Drew Bobo stepped in at center.

Mondon is fifth on the team with 17 tackles and has five quarterback pressures.

Here's a rundown of where Georgia stands on the rest of the report. The SEC does not specify why a player is listed, but injuries have previously been reported.

This list will be updated in the days leading to kickoff.

These Georgia players are listed as probable

WR London Humphreys, mononucleosis (from out Wednesday)

C Jared Wilson, lower body (from probable Wednesday)

DE Mykel Williams, ankle (from probable Wednesday)

WR Sacovie White, undisclosed (from probable Wednesday)

Hall, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound sophomore, has missed the first four games of the season after having tibia stress fractures in both legs. He had 10 tackles last season.

“Jordan’s continuing to progress and working hard,” coach Kirby Smart said Wednesday. “He does (individual) drills, he takes reps. He’s dealing with a little bit of pain there. He’s just trying to get comfortable to tolerate that. It’s a very unique thing where he had both legs, not just one. That’s compounded the issue a little bit for him.”

Williams returned against Alabama after missing three games due to an ankle sprain but is still battling through that injury.

"Mykel's coming along nicely," Smart said. "He's still sore. He's going to be sore on it. That's to be understood. When you go play on that and return from that injury, you have to deal with some pain and deal with that soreness."
