Game balls: 6 standouts from Steelers' Week 10 victory over Commanders
In what was easily their most thrilling game of the 2024 NFL season so far, the Pittsburgh Steelers squeaked out a victory over a very good Washington Commanders team.
Here are six standouts from the Steelers' Week 10 win:
WR Mike Williams
Non-existent in the first 58 minutes of the game, recently acquired Williams managed to make an impact with the game-winning 32-yard touchdown catch.
QB Russell Wilson
Wilson's numbers were great. But in a tight game, only one stat matters: Touchdowns. Wilson tossed three scores and continued to showcase his veteran ability to perform under pressure.
WR George Pickens
Pickens chipped in five receptions for 91 yards, including an acrobatic tone-setting touchdown in the first quarter.
S Minkah Fitzpatrick, S Damontae Kazee
This safety duo made a crucial fourth-down stop late in the game on a tackle of tight end Zach Ertz. The play was reviewed and stood, preventing the Commanders from extending their drive and preserving the Steelers' lead.
NT Keeanu Benton
Benton made a critical tackle on Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels to save what would've likely been enough to get into field goal range. Benton had two tackles on designed Daniels runs.
TE Pat Freiermuth
His 17 total yards were one of the fewest of the season, but Freiermuth was a perfect 3-for-3 on catches, including a score.
