FSU football without safety Shyheim Brown, Jeremiah Byers, 2 linebacker vs. Memphis

The Florida State football secondary will be without star safety Shyheim Brown against Memphis on Saturday afternoon.

Brown is one of four Seminoles (0-2) missing against the Tigers (2-0), with Jeremiah Byers, Shawn Murphy and Omar Graham Jr all missing Saturday's noon kickoff at Doak Campbell Stadium. Murphy is yet to play this season after transferring from Alabama, and Gramham and Byres miss the second week in a row.

Redshirt freshman K.J. Kirkland is listed as the backup to Brown on the depth chart and will likely see an elevated role. In two games this season, Brown has recorded 21 tackles and has been one of the few bright spots this season for FSU.

Redshirt senior Robert Scott Jr. started in place of Byers last week, with redshirt sophomore Jaylen Early seeing a good amount of snaps from the bench as well. Sophomore linebacker Justin Cryer will likely have a similar role to what he had against Boston College.

For the first time this season, Hykeem Williams is not listed on the injury report.

The Seminoles announced the loss of running back Jaylin Lucas for the season earlier this week, with true freshman Micahi Danzy elevated in the depth chart to replace him.
