FSU football game today vs Georgia Tech: Time, TV channel, schedule for Seminoles-Yellow Jackets
Top o' the morning! Florida State kicks off the 2024 college football season today against Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland.
There are high expectations for FSU football after winning the ACC in 2023. The Seminoles went 13-0, were snubbed by the College Football Playoff committee, then got annihilated by Georgia in the Orange Bowl after dozens of players opted out of the game. Gone are stars like Jordan Travis, Johnny Wilson, Keon Coleman, Jared Verse and Braden Fiske. And offensive coordinator Alex Atkins isn't coaching this week as he serves a suspension.
Coach Mike Norvell has revamped Florida State football again via the transfer portal. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is looking to regain the clout he had at Clemson. Receiver Malik Benson is ready to become the star he couldn't be at Alabama. And Marvin Jones Jr. is set to anchor another dominant defense alongside Patrick Payton. FSU got some bad news before kickoff as receiver Hykeem Williams was ruled out.

Don't sleep on the Yellow Jackets. Coach Brent Key is turning the Ramblin' Wreck around, taking them to a 7-6 record and Gasparilla Bowl win in his first full season as head coach. Quarterback Haynes King is a bonafide double threat, passing for 2,842 yards and 27 touchdowns while running for 737 and 10 last season. And while Georgia Tech's defense was a mess in 2023, new defensive coordinator Tyler Santucci is expected to bring the same level of success he had at Duke.
