FSU football freshman running back Kam Davis returns after injury vs Cal in first quarter
Florida State football freshman running back Kam Davis exited the Seminoles game vs. Cal in the first quarter.
Davis was hurt on a run play up the middle, taking a big hit from the Cal defense that knocked him down. He walked off the field on his own power and after being evaluated in the medical tent he was taken to the locker room. Davis returned to the game in the second quarter after a brief exit.
He was announced as the starter for the first time in his career against Cal, filing in for Roydell Williams, who was ruled out before kickoff.
On his lone carry before the injury, Davis recorded five yards.
Caziah Holmes is listed with Davis and Williams on the depth chart. Lawrance Toafili, Micahi Danzy and Samuel Singleton Jr. all are available as tailbacks.
FSU led Cal 7-0 after the first quarter. Toafili scored the touchdown to cap off an eight-play, 60-yard drive.
