Four-star 2026 safety Jamarrion Gordon flips commitment from Alabama football to UCF

Four-star class of 2026 safety Jamarrion Gordon has flipped his commitment from Alabama football to UCF, Gordon told On3 on Friday.

Gordon had been committed to Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide since May and was the first commitment in its 2026 class. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Jackson, Alabama native is tabbed as the No. 10 prospect in Alabama within the 2026 class and the No. 20 safety in the cycle per the 247Sports Composite. Nationally, Gordon ranks as No. 217 among 2026 prospects.

Alabama's 2026 class now has one commitment in four-star cornerback Dorian Barney out of Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia. Barney announced his commitment to Alabama on May 19 and is listed as the ninth-rated cornerback in the 2026 class and the No. 13 prospect in Georgia per the 247Sports Composite. With Barney's pledge, the Crimson Tide's 2026 class ranks No. 10 nationally.

Alabama's 2025 class, on the other hand, currently has 22 hard commitments and ranks second in the nation per the 247Sports Composite.
