Florida Panthers celebrate Stanley Cup, plus Matthew Tkachuk takes the Stanley for a dip in ocean
The Florida Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 Monday night, earning the title of Stanley Cup champions for the first time in franchise history.
True to their theme for the season, “Time to Hunt: Redemption," the Panthers brought home the cup after losing in the finals last year.
Fans cheered during the game's final seconds as players jumped up and down, tossed their sticks and helmets, and briskly skated to the goal for a group hug. As the Oilers exited the rink, the Panthers reveled in the Game 7 victory alongside fans and family.
