First look: Memphis Grizzlies pay homage to Vancouver with 2024-25 classic edition jersey
The Memphis Grizzlies will be taking it back to Vancouver with their classic edition jerseys for the 2024-25 seasons
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Grizzlies franchise, Memphis will wear a white Vancouver Grizzlies throwback.
Memphis celebrated its 25th season in 2019-20 by brining back the teal Vancouver jerseys while also giving the court a throwback look. This will be the first time Grizzlies players have worn the white jersey in an NBA game since 2000.
This edition of the Vancouver jersey will also feature a Robinhood patch in the upper left chest area. Memphis announced on Thursday a deal with Robinhood Markets Inc. as its official new investing partner.
Grizzlies center Jay Huff said he was "excited" to learn of the new Grizzlies jerseys. Huff, who says he been an NBA fan for a while, is familiar with the Vancouver history.
"I'm a big fan of vintage NBA logos," Huff said. "I think that's the direction NBA jerseys should go."
Memphis will begin its preseason Oct. 7 against the Dallas Mavericks. Regular season play will tip off in Utah on Oct. 23 versus the Jazz.
