Fever star Caitlin Clark declines invite to WNBA 3-point contest at All-Star Weekend
Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark will not participate in the 3-point contest at WNBA All-Star Weekend this week.
The WNBA announced late Wednesday night Washington’s Stefanie Dolson (50% from 3), Atlanta’s Allisha Gray, New York’s Jonquel Jones, Connecticut’s Marina Mabrey and Minnesota’s Kayla McBride (league-high 74 3s) will compete in Friday's 3-point contest in Phoenix.

Also noticeably absent is New York's Sabrina Ionescu (second with 74 3s). Clark and Ionescu declined invitations to compete in the 3-point contest, IndyStar's Chloe Peterson confirmed.
Clark's 71 made 3s are tied for third-most in the league with Dallas' Arike Ogunbowale.
Clark will be in Phoenix as one of three Fever players on Team WNBA, which will face Team USA, as part of USA Basketball's Olympics preparations on Saturday.
The Fever will have a participant in the Skills Challenge Friday night as Erica Wheeler will join Mabrey, Gray, Brittney Griner and Sophie Cunningham.
