Fantasy Football Week 2: Kicker rankings
If you're a pro-kicker fantasy football manager then ... jeez ... how did you get through Week 1? It is not hyperbole to say that kickers had one of THE worst Week 1s in NFL history. In fact, boots across the league missed in wild, unexpected and sometimes even hilarious fashion (I don't even know what to say about that Chris Boswell miss). A whopping five teams watched their kicker miss at least one field goal; we even got the first tie of the season thanks in no small part to some hapless kicking.
Ultimately, 10 field goals were missed on Sunday. Brandon McManus missed another one on Monday.
If there was ever a time to turn to your nearest kicker and ask, "Hey man, do you need a hug?" or "Want to talk about it?" it was Week 1.
We couldn't have expected this, especially not with what we saw during the Week 1 debut game between the Rams and Bills. While the Rams were relatively smothered on the scoreboard, both LA kicker Matt Gay and Buffalo boot Tyler Bass were perfect in their kicking attempts.
For now, we'll chalk up all those misses as Week 1 jitters and weather-related shenanigans — or at least, we'll hope that's what they were. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not be staring at my kicker roster spot, waiting for it to hurt me at any given moment.
(I'm kidding, I drafted the GOAT, Justin Tucker — these aren't problems I will have to deal with!)

All jokes aside, let's instead channel some positive energy in the hopes that Week 2 will feature more perfect kicking performances like the ones we saw from Gay and Bass on Thursday Night Football.
