Every Michigan high school football team competing in a new division in 2024
The Michigan High School football 2024 season is nearly here.
Practices began Monday across the state in anticipation of the season, which starts Aug. 29.
Fifty-six teams have changed divisions for the upcoming MHSAA football season, with teams placed based on enrollment numbers. However, schools can opt to move up to a higher division, with five teams doing so for 2024 in football (Jackson Lumen Christi and Oak Park are new to the opt-up list; Orchard Lake St Mary’s, Warren De La Salle and Whitehall are in Year 2 of playing up a division).
You can find the full list of schools and divisions for football on the MHSAA website at https://my.mhsaa.com/Sports/Football/School-Division-List-2024-25-11-Player.
