ESPN's 'College GameDay' coming to Columbia for South Carolina vs LSU on Sept. 14
LEXINGTON, Ky. — After defeating Kentucky on the road to start SEC play, South Carolina football left Kroger Field shortly before ESPN announced that "College GameDay" will travel to Columbia next Saturday.
The Gamecocks (2-0, 1-0 SEC) beat the Wildcats (1-1, 0-1 SEC) 31-6 on Saturday, and now turn to host LSU back at home in Williams-Brice Stadium on Sept. 14. The news was announced before the Tigers finished their game against Nicholls State, which LSU eventually won 44-21 to move to 1-1 this season.
Kickoff for South Carolina vs LSU is scheduled for noon on ABC. Coverage for "College GameDay" begins at 9 a.m. on ESPN.

South Carolina hasn't been highlighted on "College GameDay" since 2014, when the ESPN crew traveled for a game against Missouri, where the Gamecocks lost 21-20.
The beloved pre-show from ESPN has become a staple of Saturday mornings for college football fans, and is in its 36th year of production. The show is anchored by Rece Davis and features analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Steve Coughlin, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. Saban joined the show this season after he retired from coaching Alabama football, where he had been since 2007.
