Elite DL recruit, UGA commit reopens his recruitment
Three-star defensive line recruit Stephon Shivers has reopened his recruitment. from the Georgia Bulldogs. Shivers, who is a member of the class of 2025, has been committed to Georgia since March 2024.
The three-star defender plays high school football for Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee. The 6-foot-5, 365-pound defensive lineman is Georgia's biggest commitment (by size) in the class of 2025.
Stephon Shivers is ranked as the No. 518 recruit in the country, the No. 57 defensive lineman and the No. 18 prospect in Tennessee. Shivers projects to play nose tackle at the next level and is more disruptive in rushing situations.
Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have a commitment from just one other defensive lineman in the 2025 cycle in JJ Hanne. Georgia is still favored to land a commitment from five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry. However, the Bulldogs have some work to do along the defensive line regardless of what happens with Shivers.
