Duke basketball transfer portal tracker: Who's joining, leaving Blue Devils?

Duke basketball saw its 2023-24 season end in an NCAA Tournament loss to NC State in the Elite Eight.

The Blue Devils finished with a 27-9 record in head coach Jon Scheyer’s second season as the program’s leader. Duke returned four of five starters from Scheyer’s debut season, but that’s not likely to happen entering 2024-25.

The Blue Devils are set to welcome the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation, headlined by Cooper Flagg, to Durham this fall and several current Duke players have decisions to make on whether to stay or go.

Here’s a running list of who’s coming and going for Duke. Players can enter the transfer portal through May 1. A decision to join a new school can occur after that date.

A four-year player and two-time captain for the Blue Devils, Roach will declare for the NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility. As a senior, Roach put together his best season yet, averaging 14 points on 42.9% shooting from beyond the arc, with 3.3 assists per game. He committed to Baylor on April 21.

Blakes averaged 9.2 minutes per game this season, along with 1.8 points per game. He's set to graduate from Duke this spring.

A two-year starter as a rangy defender and consistent offensive threat on the interior, Mitchell averaged 11.6 points and 6.0 rebounds as a sophomore. Duke was 33-4 in the last two seasons when Mitchell reached double-digit points. He committed to Missouri via a social media post on April 19.
