Joel Embiid and NBA Twitter roasted Draymond Green for getting suspended
Fans of 29 NBA teams love to hate Golden State Warriors defender Draymond Green. The 28-year-old Green hasn’t endeared himself to the opposition in recent years. He’s poked players in the eye, he’s taunted players on the court and he’s not so subtly called out others. He even has a YouTube compilation dedicated to the times he’s kicked opponents.
So you can imagine fans had a field day after the Warriors suspended Green for getting into an argument with teammate Kevin Durant. The team deemed Green went too far in the altercation. According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, Green repeatedly called his teammate a “bitch.”
The team officially announced Green had been suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team.” NBA Twitter wasn’t going to let that slide.
Very excited for the Warriors to list Draymond as a "DNP: Will you just, like, chill out for a second?"

It wasn’t all just a variation on the same joke, though. Some of the best responses included a picture.

It wasn’t just fans, though. Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid found a stealthy way to take a dig at Green.

Other people just wanted to see the world burn.
God please continue to handle this in the most public way possible. Dray should do an insta-story right now. https://t.co/lS0bPia9sp

Green will miss Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. NBA fans should have their fun now, because Green’s suspension will be over soon. He’s expected to return for Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets.
Given how often Green finds himself in the middle of controversial situations, it shouldn’t be too long before he catches the eye of NBA Twitter again.
