Deebo Samuel status: 49ers WR may play Week 8
After playing only three snaps against the Kansas City Chiefs. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was ruled out for the remainder of the contest due to an illness.
Following the game, Samuel was hospitalized with a pneumonia-like illness. Samuel was recently released from the hospital but is not slated to practice on Wednesday.
Despite not practicing, Samuel's status is undecided for Sunday's contest against the Dallas Cowboys in primetime. When talking to reporters on Wednesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed there's a chance Samuel plays on Sunday Night Football. Shanahan said the 49ers will "see how the rest of the week goes."
