Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers announce one-of-a-kind event with IndyCar in Arlington

The NTT IndyCar Series will make a stop in Arlington in March 2026 for a first-of-its-kind event in partnership with the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.

The IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington will feature a 2.73-mile track winding through the city’s sports and entertainment district, including AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field.

The NTT IndyCar Series is one of the most popular racing leagues in the United States with events throughout the country and is the host of the world-famous Indianapolis 500. The series also held races at Texas Motor Speedway in north Fort Worth from 2017 to 2023.

The race will also include a full weekend of events and fans interested in attending can head to the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington’s website to receive the latest news and updates.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin appears on the website in a hype video for the race telling Texans to get ready for the new event.

In a statement, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones explained what the partnership would bring to Arlington.

“We are thrilled to join forces with the Texas Rangers, Penske Entertainment, and the City of Arlington to bring Grand Prix racing to the streets of the Arlington Entertainment District. The collaboration between our organizations will make the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington special, providing a unique NTT IndyCar Series race experience for fans attending, while also creating a showcase with our friends at FOX and those watching around the world. An event of this magnitude is another great reflection of what we imagined over 15 years ago that AT&T Stadium could be a part of,” said Jones.

Texas Rangers president of business operations & chief operating officer Neil Leibman expressed pride at bringing this event to Texas.

“Today is a historic day for the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment. We are proud to be at the forefront of the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington alongside such esteemed organizations in Penske Entertainment and the Dallas Cowboys. This event will set a new standard for the Arlington Entertainment District,” said Leibman.

The race will be covered by Fox Sports, which will air the event.
