Colts unveil banner honoring CB Kenny Moore before what could be his last game with team

This isn't a subtle message.

The Indianapolis Colts unveiled a Kenny Moore II banner above the Lucas Oil Stadium entrance Saturday, replacing the "Thanks for the memories" banner honoring former linebacker Shaquille Leonard.

Why Moore? He's the Colts' second-leading tackler (91) entering their NFL Week 18 matchup against the Houston Texans with an AFC playoff berth on the line. He also has three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns against Carolina.

Moore's contract also ends after this season, so maybe the team wants him to know he's valued. Of course, a favorable contract in the offseason would be an even better way to show how much he's valued.

Moore, 28, counts $8.16 million toward the Colts' 2023 salary cap, the fifth-most on the team and the 13th most among NFL cornerbacks. He has been with the Colts for seven seasons, moving up from a special-teams ace to a Pro Bowl cornerback in 2021.
