Colorado State at No. 4 Texas
Danny Davis: Texas. The Longhorns should have an excellent opportunity to give their backups and reserves some playing time in an actual game.
Cedric Golden: Texas. The Longhorns haven't lost an opener since they dropped two straight to Maryland in 2017 and 2018. But that was then. Texas won't allow next week's showdown with Michigan to affect its focus for this one. Texas by 35.
Thomas Jones: Texas. Maybe Colorado State will put up a fight early, but Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian says this is the deepest team he's had yet at Texas. I believe him, and the Horns will pull away.
