The EA Sports 'College Football 25' video game is nearly making its much-anticipated debut.

The first college football video game in 11 years is scheduled for a July 19 release date, though gamers who buy the deluxe edition can get access three days early. In the build-up to the release of the game, EA Sports released the ratings for the top 100 players on Wednesday.

While Florida State football is expected to have a chance to contend for a second straight ACC championship and a chance at the newly expanded College Football Playoff, the Seminoles have just one player rated inside the top 100: Defensive end Patrick Payton.

Here's what to know of Florida State players in the top 100 player ratings of "College Football 25":

Florida State's highest-ranked player in 'College Football 25'

Payton is the highest-rated Florida State player in the new EA Sports "College Football 25" video game, and the only Seminole ranked inside the top 100. Payton ranked as the No. 87 overall player and the No. 5-ranked left defensive end.

Payton is heading into his redshirt junior season and emerged opposite future-first-round pick Jared Verse as the Seminoles went 13-1 last season and won the ACC championship for the first time since 2016. Payton recorded 42 tackles, a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. Payton also had six quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and 10 pass breakups last season.

While Payton is one of the top returning players for FSU, Oregon State transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and former Georgia defensive end transfer Marvin Jones Jr. are also two players who could see themselves among the top 100 players rated by the end of the season.

Payton tweeted on his X account (formerly Twitter) that he believes some teammates were missing from the list.
