Clemson football's Week 8 start time, TV vs Virginia announced for home ACC game
CLEMSON — Clemson football has an official start time for its first home game of October.
The ACC announced Monday that the No. 11 Tigers (4-1, 3-0 ACC) will host Virginia (4-1, 2-0) at noon ET on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Memorial Stadium and will air nationally on ACC Network.
This will be the 50th all-time meeting between the programs. Clemson defeated the Cavaliers 41-23 in the previous matchup in 2020, extending its win streak against them to five. The Tigers lead the all-time series 40-8-1, with their most recent loss happening in 2004.
The Tigers rose to No. 11 in the coaches poll and No. 10 in the AP poll after defeating Florida State. They face Wake Forest on the road in their fourth conference game this Saturday before hosting Virginia.
The Cavaliers will host Louisville Saturday in their third ACC game before facing Clemson.
