Clemson football rankings: Where will Tigers fall to in top 25 after loss to No. 1 Georgia?
Even not at full strength, Georgia football is one of the more dominant teams in the country.
No. 14 Clemson found out why the Bulldogs have now won 40 straight regular-season games, as the Tigers fell to No. 1 Georgia 34-3 Saturday in the Aflac Kickoff at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Clemson's offense struggled against the Bulldogs' defense, which is being called the top defense in the country by some, on Saturday. Second-year starting quarterback Cade Klubnik finished with no touchdowns on the day as he completed 18-of-29 passes for 142 yards and one interception. The Tigers had only 46 yards of rushing, despite Phil Mafah having 59 yards himself alone.
Georgia quarterback Carson Beck put up nearly 300 passing yards against Clemson's defense on Saturday. Beck completed 23-of-33 passes and threw for two touchdowns.
The Tigers will now return home to Death Valley for their home opener against Appalachian State on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Tigers will certainly drop in the national polls entering Week 2. However, how many spots Clemson will drop in this week's rankings remains to be seen as some of the teams that are in the Tigers' company — those ranked No. 5 through No. 15 — have yet to play or are currently still in action (at the time of this article).
Either way, the odds of Clemson — who some found to be ranked too high in the preseason polls — finding itself in the top 20 come the release of the Week 2 polls in the coming days are slim to none.
