Clemson football injury report vs Virginia: WR Bryant Wesco Jr, Tyler Brown out
CLEMSON — Clemson football freshman wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. and Tyler Brown are inactive for Saturday's game vs. Virginia.
During warmups, Wesco came out with his jersey, sweat pants and tennis shoes on and did not stretch with his teammates. He will miss his second straight game after not being listed on the availability report for Wake Forest last week. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said he was "day to day" this week after twisting his ankle against Florida State.
Brown, who suffered a high ankle sprain vs. Appalachian State in Week 2, will miss his second consecutive game too. Swinney said he was "week to week" leading up to Saturday after having a setback during his recovery. Defensive tackle Vic Burley will also miss his first game of the season
Wesco has recorded 11 catches for 262 yards and two touchdowns over five games. Brown has logged five catches for 30 yards across four games this season. Burley has made three tackles in six games in 2024.
The good news for Clemson is offensive lineman Collin Sadler and defensive lineman Stephiylan Green are active. Both did not play in the Tigers' past two games.
No. 9 Clemson (5-1, 4-0 ACC) faces the Cavaliers (4-2, 2-1) on Saturday (noon ET, ESPN) at Memorial Stadium.
