Clemson baseball vs. Florida score, highlights: Gators win super regional in 13-inning thriller
CLEMSON — Clemson baseball needs to win Sunday to avoid elimination from the NCAA tournament.
The No. 6 overall seed Tigers (44-15) host the Florida Gators (33-28) in Game 2 of the best-of-three series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Sunday (2:30 p.m. ET, ESPN).
Clemson lost 10-7 to Florida in Game 1 on Saturday after the Gators scored seven runs in the fifth inning.
If Clemson wins, it would force an additional game, to be played Monday. If it loses, Florida advances to the College World Series.
Clemson baseball live score updates vs. Florida: NCAA super regional
FINAL: Florida 11, Clemson 10; Tigers season ends
Clemson never got comfortable in this super regional, and that continued in the 13th inning. Ethan Darden allows two singles, gets an out, intentionally walks a batter and then allows a walk-off, 2-run single to No. 9 hitter Michael Robertson to end the season.
The Tigers' season ends in the super regionals after a very intense, emotional finale. Florida moves on to Omaha.

Eric Bakich and Jack Leggett ejected
After discussing the play for some reason with a increasingly irritated umpire, Eric Bakich has been ejected. After continuing the discussion, Bakich pumps up the crowd.
It's Clemson 10, Florida 9 with two out in the top of the 13th inning.
Jack Leggett was also ejected from the game according to the ESPN broadcast, which appeared to happen earlier in the whole interaction. This is not a good look for the NCAA or these umpires.
Alden Mathes will stay in the game.

Alden Mathes hits a go-ahead home run to right, and Clemson leads 10-9.

Clemson 9, Florida 9, end 12th inning
With a runner on and two out, Jarren Purify and Jacob Hinderleider collided while trying to field a chopper up the middle. Purify attempted to walk it off but takes a while to do so.
Ethan Darden, after a long wait, struck out Colby Shelton with two on to end the inning. Hat tip to Darden, who had to wait a while while Purify worked through things and got the strikeout in a long at-bat.
Clemson 9, Florida 9, middle 12th
Clemson's bats have quieted in extra innings. Tristan Bissetta has not had a good day, grounding into a double play in the 12th inning. He is 0-for-6 today.
Clemson 9, Florida 9, end 11th inning
Billy Barlow is in to pitch for Clemson, and he gets two out before allowing back-to-back walks. Drew Titsworth is in for him with two on and two out.
Brody Donay flies out to end the inning. This has become an instant classic at DKS.
Clemson 9, Florida 9, middle 11th
Jacob Hinderleider singles, but Blake Wright lines out and Cam Cannarella grounds out to end the inning. Brandon Neely is up to 131 pitches this weekend and 72 today.
Clemson 9, Florida 9, end 10th: Cam Cannarella saves the game for the Tigers
After a double and a Jac Caglianone intentional walk, Cam Cannarella makes a tremendous running catch over his shoulder before he hits the centerfield wall. What a play.
That was the final out of the 10th inning.

Clemson 9, Florida 9, mid 10th
Ty Olenchuk bats with one out for the first time this year as a pinch hitter for Nolan Nawrocki, and he strikes out on a shin-high fastball.
Tigers are retired in order as Florida continues with Brandon Neely on the mound.
Clemson 9, Florida 9, end 9th: Extra innings!
Austin Gordon works a 1-2-3 ninth inning. To extras at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Clemson 9, Florida 9, top 9th: Cam Cannarella hits game-tying 3-run HR
Jacob Hinderleider and Blake Wright hit back-to-back singles with one out to bring up Cam Cannarella.
Florida coach Kevin O'Sullivan visits the mound to talk to Brandon Neely before the at-bat. Cannarella hits a three-run, game-tying blast to right field. What a moment for the Clemson centerfielder.
Neely remains in the game, which is a choice. 9-9 game.

Jimmy Obertop and Tristan Bissetta strike out to end the inning. Bissetta is 0-for-5 with five strikeouts today.
But the Tigers are alive. To the bottom of the ninth inning.
Florida 9, Clemson 6, end 8th: Ashton Wilson 2-run HR
After Austin Gordon intentionally walks Jac Caglianone, Ashton Wilson hits a two-run home run to restore the Gators' three-run lead.
Clemson's pitching has not been effective enough this weekend. The Tigers need three runs in the top of the ninth inning to extend the game and their season.
Florida 7, Clemson 6, top 8th
Brandon Neely, who worked a lengthy stint to close Game 1 for Florida, is in for some high-stress pitches after Clemson adds a run via two hits and a walk.
Tryston McCladdie then hit a RBI single to right to cut Florida's lead to 7-6.
Florida 7, Clemson 4, middle 7th
Florida's Jacob Clemente strikes out the side in the Clemson 7th. Tigers have a lot of work to do and six outs to work with to extend the season.
Florida 7, Clemson 4, bottom 6th: Brody Donay 2-run HR
Brody Donay hits a 2-run home run off Reed Garris in the Florida 6th as the Gators extend their lead. Austin Gordon is entering the game.
Florida 5, Clemson 4, top 6th: Jimmy Obertop solo HR
Jimmy Obertop hits a solo home run to get Clemson to within a run. Two batters later, that'll be it for Jac Caglianone on the mound after allowing a two-out walk.
Florida 5, Clemson 3, bottom 5th: Gators retake the lead
Colby Shelton's two-run single with one out gives Florida the lead again in the fifth inning. Aidan Knaak's day is done. He allowed five runs on four hits and three walks. The Tigers will have to come from behind in Game 2.
Why did Jack Crighton get ejected from Clemson-Florida game? The NCAA explains
Per the NCAA: Both dugouts received unsportsmanlike warnings; Crighton was ejected for "unsportsmanlike code violation," and he he will miss the next game (whenever that is)

Florida 2, Clemson 1, top 3rd: Jacob Hinderleider RBI double
Jarren Purify led off the Clemson 3rd with a walk. After moving to second base on a groundout, Jacob Hinderleider clubbed a RBI double to right field.
Clemson has just the one run but three doubles so far off of Jac Caglianone, who is not commanding well.
Purify has been very good out of the No. 9 spot in the Clemson order in this tournament.
Florida 2, Clemson 0, end 2nd
Aidan Knaak works around a one-out walk with two strikeouts in a scoreless Florida 2nd.
Jack Crighton ejected after unnecessarily lengthy replay review
Jack Crighton, who was at second base and running the bases through third, was ejected for unknown reasons after a 10-minute review.
Crighton, the Clemson first baseman, jogged over near the incident but didn't make noticeable contact with a Florida player.
Tryston McCladdie will be at first base for the Florida 2nd.

Nolan Nawrocki, Jac Caglianone involved in collision, shoving after final out in Clemson 2nd
Nolan Nawrocki hit a ground ball to Jac Caglianone, who fields from the mound down the first base line and collides with Nawrocki. Caglianone gives a second shove to Nawrocki before being separated as the inning was over.
Clemson needs a wake-up call, and that may serve as one.
Florida 2, Clemson 0, bottom 1st: Jac Caglianone HR
Clemson's decision to not pitch around Jac Caglianone has backfired in both games. Caglianone hit a no-doubt two-ruin home run off of Aidan Knaak in the first inning.
Clemson 0, Florida 0, mid 1st
Blake Wright hit a two-out double (with help from a poor play by a Florida outfielder), but nothing else in the Clemson 1st.
