Chiefs S Justin Reid placed on NFI list with quad injury
SAINT JOSEPH, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid did not make his training camp debut on Sunday with the rest of his teammates.
The Chiefs’ 2023 leading tackler and defensive leader had a sleeve on his right leg and held out of the first day of training camp and was placed on the non-football injury list with a quad injury, according to the team.

Head coach Andy Reid said the team is evaluating Justin Reid day by day.
“He’s very honest with you, and he’s not gonna hide anything,” Reid said about Justin. “He’s gonna make sure he tells you how he’s feeling. And so we trust him with that.”
Safeties Bryan Cook and Chamarri Conner took reps with the first team in practice along with fourth-round rookie Jaden Hicks. With the first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars coming soon on Aug. 10, it will be a situation to monitor.
