Texas A&M football starts its season off with a bang, facing Notre Dame in one of the biggest matchups of Week 1.

Ranked No. 7 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, the Fighting Irish are a familiar opponent to new Aggies coach Mike Elko. Not only did Elko face them in 2023 when he was coaching Duke, but quarterback at the time, Riley Leonard, will be commanding Notre Dame's offense this time around.

A&M is currently ranked 20th in the coaches poll, and will be underdogs against Notre Dame. There are plenty of questions about the Aggies, and this opener against a top-10 team will certainly answer some of them. How will the offensive line fair? Can quarterback Connor Weigman impress against one of the best teams in college football?
