Led by Rhys' Hoskins' first-inning grand slam, the Brewers scored five runs against Manaea in an 8-4 win during the final series of the regular season last Friday.
Right-handed pitcher Frankie Montas starts for the Brewers, who are looking to avoid losing their seventh straight playoff game dating to 2021 and their sixth consecutive postseason series. A Brewers win extends the series to a winner-take-all game Thursday.
