What channel is Brewers vs Mets on today? Time, TV schedule to watch wild card playoff game

Pat Murphy's motto all season for the Milwaukee Brewers has been "win today."

His team needs to apply that approach more than ever if it wants to continue its 2024 season. It's win or go home for the Brewers Wednesday against the New York Mets.

After losing 8-4 in Game 1 of the best-of-three National League wild-card series Tuesday after a nightmare fifth inning, the Brewers are in survival mode when they take the field against the Mets in Game 2.

Maybe working in their favor is the success that they had against the Mets' starting pitcher tonight, Sean Manaea, the last time they saw him. Led by Rhys' Hoskins' first-inning grand slam, the Brewers scored five runs against Manaea in an 8-4 win during the final series of the regular season last Friday.

Right-handed pitcher Frankie Montas starts for the Brewers, who are looking to avoid losing their seventh straight playoff game dating to 2021 and their sixth consecutive postseason series. A Brewers win extends the series to a winner-take-all game Thursday.

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick (10) hits a double during the fourth inning of their wild-card playoff game against the New York Mets Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
