North Carolina football opens the 2024 season at Minnesota on Thursday (8 p.m., FOX) before returning to Chapel Hill for its next three games at Kenan Stadium.

Coming off back-to-back seasons with at least eight wins, the Tar Heels are entering their sixth season under head coach Mack Brown in his second stint with the program. With former quarterback Drake Maye in the NFL, UNC has three quarterbacks battling to be the Tar Heels' signal-caller this year.

Texas A&M transfer Max Johnson, redshirt sophomore Conner Harrell and Arkansas transfer Jacolby Criswell are UNC's quarterbacks. They'll be joined by All-ACC running back Omarion Hampton and All-ACC tight end Bryson Nesbit for the Tar Heels' offense. Defensively, UNC returns All-ACC pass rusher Kaimon Rucker, linebacker Power Echols and cornerback Alijah Huzzie.
