COLUMBIA — South Carolina football and coach Shane Beamer begin the 2024 season with new expectations and a new starting quarterback.

The Gamecocks, now led by redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers, was voted to finish 13th overall in the SEC preseason poll.

The Gamecocks play only one of two SEC newcomers this season, when they travel to Norman to face Oklahoma on Oct. 19.

South Carolina's 2024 schedule isn't easy, ranging from a road game in Alabama, who is expected to finish third in the SEC, and home games against Ole Miss and LSU, the fourth and fifth best teams in the SEC.

The Gamecocks are looking to bounce back from a 5-7 losing season.

For the season opener against Old Dominion, StubHub listed seats starting at just $18. For Ole Miss, tickets start at $49. On Nov. 2, the Gamecocks host Texas A&M for the school's homecoming weekend, and tickets begin at $50.
