Bruins Coach Rips Into Team After Brutal Loss

Things did not go as planned for the Boston Bruins during their season opener against the Florida Panthers. The Panthers significantly outplayed the Bruins and defeated them by a 6-4 final score. However, after allowing four first-period goals and another in the second, the Bruins were out of this game very early on.

Overall, the Bruins' performance was simply underwhelming, and the reigning Stanley Cup champions took advantage of it. Due to this, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery made it abundantly clear that he was not happy with his team's play while speaking to reporters.

Here is what Montgomery had to say on the matter:

"Their execution was really good. Our execution was really poor. I can’t pinpoint why we looked slow, but we looked slow the entire game. Not just the first 10 minutes, in my opinion.”

It is hard to disagree with Montgomery's opinion on the Bruins' performance. It was just an all-around off game for the Original Six club. They will now look to bounce back against the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow night (Oct. 10).
