Bruins Get Big Matthew Tkachuk Update
It is no secret that Florida Panthers superstar Matthew Tkachuk is always a pain to play against. This is because he is not only a highly impactful offensive forward but also does an excellent job of agitating opponents. The Boston Bruins know this fact very well, especially after facing Tkachuk and the Panthers in back-to-back post-seasons.

However, the Bruins won't be facing off against him today (Oct. 14), as Panthers head coach Paul Maurice told reporters that Tkachuk is expected to be out for a week due to an illness.
Due to his ongoing illness, Tkachuk missed the Panthers' last contest against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday (Oct. 12).
The Bruins will now look to take advantage of a short-handed Panthers club. Remember that fellow Panthers superstar Aleksander Barkov is also out with a week-to-week lower-body injury, so this is a winnable game for Boston. Let's see if they can secure two points from here.
