The Cleveland Browns have made it through the first week of training camp with the offense looking sharp and the defense as determined as they were a year ago. How do young and once promising players like wide receiver David Bell and defensive tackle Siaki Ika fit in to the equation?
Currently fielding a competitive roster, it will not be easy to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. This leaves quite a few players on the bubble with about a month to go until the Browns are forced to cut their roster down by 37 players. Who could these bubble players be?
To define what "on the bubble" means, not every player who is at risk of being cut is not on the bubble. There are 90 players on the roster and only 53 are going to make it. Some of those 90 are on the outside looking in and not on the bubble. Some of those players are roster locks to make the roster.
"On the bubble" players will be defined as those in a battle for a roster spot or those players who were previously on the 53-man roster a year ago and will have to fight to stay on it this year.
Here are players who are currently sitting on the roster bubble through the first week of training camp.
