Boys' lacrosse: Status quo at top of Bucks County rankings, but changes aplenty after that
There have been more changes, especially near the top, in our rankings of the top Bucks County area high school boys' lacrosse teams since our last rankings from two weeks ago.
In fact, teams No. 2 through 5 are pretty much interchangeable at this point.
Team A beat B and Team C beat A and B beat D, but Team D beat C. We could go around all day with different combinations of who should be where. Fortunately, the upcoming PIAA District One playoffs will help straighten things out.
Here's our latest rankings (through Monday, May 6):
1. La Salle (16-0)
The Explorers have been the top-ranked team in our rankings from the preseason on and they continue to roll along. They're also the No. 1-ranked team in the state with defending PIAA champion Radnor at No. 2.
2. Pennridge (13-3)
The Rams are gearing up for the PIAA District One Class 3A playoffs, which begin next Tuesday. A year ago, Pennridge finished sixth in districts and qualified for the PIAA tournament for the first time.
3. Souderton (12-4)
The Big Red own one-goal wins over Central Bucks East and Central Bucks West and finish off their regular season this week with matchups against Pennridge and Council Rock South.

5. Central Bucks West (13-3)
The Bucks have won five straight games, a good sign with the district playoffs coming, including a big win over Pennridge last week.
6. Lansdale Catholic (7-5)
The Crusaders, a PIAA Class 2A program, face Class 3A Souderton on Thursday in a good warm-up game for both sides heading into the postseason.
