Boys' lacrosse rankings: Here are the top teams in the Bucks County area

It may still seem like the early part of things, but there's actually less than a month left in the boys' lacrosse regular season.

What does that mean? Well, it means we're getting a clearer picture of the top teams in the area. So, with that in mind, let's take a look at the latest rankings.

(Records through April 8)

1. La Salle High (5-0)

The Explorers are off to a roaring start and are going to be hard for anyone to beat. In their two Philadelphia Catholic League games, they've outscored their opponents 32-1.

2. Central Bucks West (6-0)

Big games against archrival CB East and Pennridge are on the horizon for the surging Bucks.

3. Pennridge (6-1)

The only blemish for the Rams came against a solid Upper Dublin side.

4. Central Bucks East (6-3)

The tough early schedule the Patriots always play will help them in the end.

5. Lansdale Catholic (2-1)

The Crusaders own a win over Council Rock North and need to play well each time out in their Philadelphia Catholic League games.

6. Council Rock North (5-2)

The Indians picked up a nice win over Pennsbury on Monday in a crucial Suburban One League National Conference matchup.

7. Pennsbury (4-3)

It will be interesting to see how the Falcons bounce back after their tough 8-6 loss to Council Rock North earlier this week.

8. Souderton (4-2)

The Big Red will be right in the mix in what is a very competitive SOL National Conference.

9. Upper Moreland (3-3)

The Class 2A Golden Bears are giving the Class 3A programs in the SOL American Conference all they can handle.

10. Council Rock South (4-3)

The Golden Hawks are improving. They gave Souderton a nice battle before dropping an 8-6 verdict.
