Bills coach Sean McDermott ripped for not challenging catch by Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has been criticized by fans for being too conservative. This one seemed like a no-brainer.

Buffalo trailed the Houston Texans 14-3 with 2:42 left in the second quarter. The Bills defense provided a spark, forcing a turnover on downs in the red zone. Buffalo's offense was stringing together its longest drive of the game - albeit 35 yards - and faced third-and-13 from the Texans' 49-yard line. Josh Allen had four completions on the possession after one completion in the entire game prior.

Tight end Dalton Kincaid appeared to make a spectacular catch on third-and-long. Kincaid dove for the ball and dragged his feet for a toe tap and he sailed out of bounds. Officials ruled Kincaid juggled the ball during the process.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott could've challenged the play. A catch ruling would've given Buffalo a first down at the Houston 32-yard line.

Instead, McDermott opted to punt the ball back to the Texans, who also would receive the ball to start the second half. Houston got the ball another time before halftime and Ka'imi Fairbairn made a 50-yard field goal as time expired to take a 17-3 lead at halftime.
