The Cincinnati Bengals made a flurry of roster moves on Monday before the team's preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts.

As expected, the Bengals shifted running back Chris Evans and offensive tackle D'Ante Smith to injured reserve.

Both players were key depth pieces at their respective positions who went down with knee injuries in the rain during joint practices with the Chicago Bears last week.

The Bengals also waived defensive lineman Devonnsha Maxwell on the list of moves, making the picture a little clearer at that highly contested position.

Cincinnati hosts the Colts at Paycor Stadium on Thursday night to end the preseason.
