The Cincinnati Bengals final 53-man roster projection looks similar to the first after the team's second preseason game.
What was important during that loss to the Chicago Bears, though, was that some of the guys who made the leap onto the final projected 53 once again proved they belonged.
That means some unexpected names making the final roster along the offensive line and at a few spots on the defensive side of the ball.
As always, keep in mind that these are projections with one preseason game left on the schedule and that players who miss the cut could always filter onto lists such as the practice squad.
Quarterback
Browning is hurt -- for now. The outlook doesn't change.
Running back
Evans is going to head to injured reserve.
Wide receiver
Six remains the sweet spot because they probably need five tight ends.
Tight end
All being available sort of complicates things at final cuts, but this is a stellar room.
Offensive line
We already had Lee and Kirkland making it and Hill and Carman given the boot. The odds of that dramatically shot up during the second preseason game.
Defensive line
Gunter retiring means the rookie Johnson slips on and gets to keep proving himself.
Linebacker
We had Njongmeta making it last week and he's cemented it now it seems after leading the tam in tackles last Saturday.
Cornerback
Robinson is a bit of a risk over an Allan George, but he seems to have more upside.
Safety
Anderson vs. Anthony is a conversation in the fanbase right now but...why not both?
Special Teams
(3): Evan McPherson, Brad Robbins, Cal Adomitis
Cut: Brad Robbins, Ryan Rehkow, Austin McNamara
Rehkow had a chance last Saturday but didn't move the needle.
