Ashlynd Barker injury update: FSU football player injured in game vs Miami
Florida State defensive back Ashlynd Barker went down with a scary injury late in the game vs Miami on Saturday night.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Miami running back Ajay Allen took a handoff to the right side. Barker fell down after contacting Allen, and teammates immediately signaled for the medical staff.
Barker stood up after a few minutes on the turf. He was helped to the locker room.

Defensive back Ashlynd Barker went down with an injury with 8:36 remaining in the fourth quarter with FSU trailing 23-7.
Ajay Allen ran to the right side of the line on first-and-25 and collided with Barker, who was coming in to make the tackle. Barker spun around and fell face-first on the turf as teammate immediately signaled for the medical staff to come onto the field.
According to the ESPN broadcast, trainers were able to turn him over on his back, when he was seen moving his legs. Eventually they helped him stand up, and trainers walked him into the locker room.
Ashlynd Barker stats
Ashlynd Barker is a redshirt sophomore from Columbus, Georgia. He transferred from Iowa Western Community College before coming to FSU in 2023.
He played in all 14 games for FSU last season, recording 11 tackles and a sack. This season, Barker has six total tackles, including a half-tackle for loss. His stats all came from two games: the win Sept. 21 against Cal and last week's game at Duke.
