Arizona State football fans slam Big 12 officiating after win vs Kansas: 'Incompetence'

The Arizona State football team rallied to defeat Kansas 35-31 with a late touchdown in its Big 12 home opener Saturday, but it wasn't just the Jayhawks that the Sun Devils had to defeat, according to many on social media ...

… ASU also had to defeat the Big 12 officials.

Social media slammed the officiating in the game, with many people questioning two targeting penalties that disqualified a pair of key Sun Devil defenders and a Kansas touchdown reception that they felt should have been ruled an incomplete pass.

Fans were not happy with the referees at all during the game, to put it kindly, as "ref you suck" chants filled Mountain America Stadium in Tempe.
