Alabama football, Kalen DeBoer land first tight end in 2025 recruiting class
Four-star class of 2025 tight end Kaleb Edwards has committed to Alabama football, Edwards told On3 on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound prospect out of Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California, becomes the first tight end in the 2025 class for the Crimson Tide and coach Kalen DeBoer. The 247Sports Composite has Edwards tabbed as the No. 8 tight end in the class and the No. 14 prospect in California. Nationally, Edwards ranks No. 159 among the 2025 class.

Edwards joins a Crimson Tide 2025 recruiting class that ranked No. 2 in the nation prior to his commitment per 247Sports Composite. He is the 21st commitment overall in the class.
Edwards picked Alabama out of 19 offers, including Texas, UCLA, Washington, Auburn and Oregon.
During his junior year at Oak Ridge, Edwards had 44 receptions for 828 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 828 yards on 44 carries for seven additional scores.
Edwards took his official visit to the Capstone on June 17. Offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan is listed as his primary recruiter.
